People show up when they can. Rain & shine!
We used to start at 9:05 am (hence the name!) We now meet at 9:25 a.m., and walk for about
one hour, starting at 9:30 a.m. with a coffee option afterwards for those who wish to stay.
Walk days are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Walkers come when they can, to as many or few walks as they like. We usually have 6 to 10 walkers. It’s a great way to meet people and stay healthy. Registration is $50/year and spouses are free. Guests are welcome at any time during the year to come try out a few walks. Check out our photo page to see people and places.
We have around 50 walks in various locations around in the greater Victoria area, and occasionally farther afield in summer. A walk schedule with a map link to the meeting place for that day is sent by email and can also be found on this website.

If you’re thinking of joining a walking group, come
for a few walks to see if the pace suits you. We do roughly 5 km. (about 7000 steps) in one
hour – a moderate pace. Each walk is marked Easy, Moderate or Steep. Steep walks may be a little shorter in distance if not time. Walkers are asked to keep an ear out for
those behind them, and to stop the group if they’re no longer in earshot. You’ll probably know within a couple of
walks if the pace is either too fast or too slow for you.
